The Center for Research On Publication Ethics (CROPE) was established to describe unethical publication practices through forensic content analysis. The researchers are actively reviewing  evidence and analyzing  documents to overserve unusual publishing trends, identify outlier data, and describe practice patterns possibly associated with predatorial journals and scavenger researchers.
